After our first night in Sidi Bou Said We wake up to a view of the white and blue of perhaps Tunisia's most famous coastal town. The hustle and bustle of Tunis already seems far away here. Today our journey south truly begins. And although the Star Wars locations are still a little while away, this will be a day where film history, Tunisian antiquity, and the first real off-road adventure alternate in rapid succession.

In 1985, Maik Suurland and Marco Tuppert met in high school. They were both fifteen years old. It was the beginning of a friendship that has now lasted well over forty years. At that time, of course, they could not possibly have imagined that they would ever start a travel company together. Let alone that forty years later they would develop a trip to the places that, in their youth, seemed to belong to a galaxy far, far away.
